The conical interior guides the ground coffee towards an even distribution while shaking. This builds a stable coffee bed without tapping or stirring, helping create a consistent base before tamping.
The enlarged dosing area, approximately 33% larger than traditional funnels, gives the coffee more room to spread. This allows the grounds to move more freely, reducing the chance of build-up or uneven distribution.
The funnel has a capacity of 35 to 40 grams and is designed for a recommended dose of 22 to 24 grams. The shaking process is simple: gently moving the portafilter back and forth distributes coffee evenly throughout the filter basket.
The construction combines ABS and aluminium alloy for a light yet sturdy build. A removable dust lid helps keep the grounds clean when the funnel is not in use. The model is compatible with 58 mm two-ear portafilters, making it suitable for many professional espresso setups.
